Excellence in Regional Data Centre Award Europe
Green Mountain was announced the winner of the “Excellence in Regional Data Centre Award Europe” during the Datacloud Awards 2019. CEO, Tor Kristian Gyland, accepted the award at the gala dinner at Le Sporting Club in Monte Carlo on June 4th.
“We are very grateful for this acknowledgement and will continue our dedicated work to deliver our customers the best data centre services!”, he said. The winners are decided by a judge panel of over 30 industry experts. Philip Low, chairman of BroadGroup and executive supervisor of the Datacloud Awards, said: “The Awards in Monaco are now widely regarded as the only globally recognized accolades for the datacenter, cloud and Edge eco-system, and reflect the tremendous success and achievements in diversity, innovation and excellence.”
Tinn Municipality and the town of Rjukan was also nominated for an award; “Data Centre Location of the year”. “Green Mountain has an excellent cooperation with Tinn Municipality and we are impressed with their professionality and hospitality in facilitating the data centre industry. The nomination is a great recognition of their work.” Gyland says.
The Datacloud awards are held annually during the Global Datacloud Congress where investors, financiers, business leaders and their customers gather to listen to thought-leaders covering topics relating to cloud challenges, edge evolution and data center infrastructure. The conference is also an important international networking and deal making opportunity for key players across the sector. Tor Kristian Gyland will present his speech “Finding the Speed to Innovate – a Scenario-Based Assessment» during the main conference and Marit Salte, CEO of our owner Smedvig, will present the story “From Shipping and Oil to Building a Digital Ecosystem” during the Finvest programme the same day.
