NO-UK fiber cable installation operations commenced

Installation of the 700-kilometer-long submarine fiber cable started at Green Mountain’s data center today. This new cable route connects the west coast of Norway with Newcastle and will significantly increase data capacity between Norway, the UK, and the rest of the world.

Successful mountain hall data center expansion

Green Mountain completes yet another 2.5 MW expansion at its mountain hall facility. The built-to-suit project for a large international cloud provider was delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule, despite the challenging Covid-19 situation.

Seabed survey for NO-UK submarine cable completed

The NO-UK submarine cable project, connecting Newcastle to the Norwegian landing point at Green Mountain, has reached a new milestone. Several weeks of seabed survey in the North Sea is now finalized and the project is on track for completion in 2021. This 700 km long subsea fiber cable will significantly increase data capacity between Norway, the UK, and the rest of the world.
