Volkswagen Group expands capacity at Green Mountain
Volkswagen Group expands its data center capacity at Green Mountain and announces its goal to make all its data center operations run balance sheet carbon-neutrally by 2027. To achieve this goal, the company has expanded its computing capacities at Green Mountain, at the SVG1-Stavanger site.
Green Mountain Data Centers to be acquired by Azrieli Group Ltd.
Smedvig, the majority owner of Green Mountain, has agreed to sell the company to Azrieli Group Ltd., an Israeli publicly traded real estate investment and development company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The acquisition secures Green Mountain the necessary capital to fulfill its growth ambitions in the European market.
Successful mountain hall data center expansion
Green Mountain completes yet another 2.5 MW expansion at its mountain hall facility. The built-to-suit project for a large international cloud provider was delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule, despite the challenging Covid-19 situation.
Green Mountain CEO wins Industry Contribution Award

This is an award recognizing an individual who has made a significant contribution to the data center industry in EMEA. Gyland was nominated for his contribution in building and promoting Norway as a data center location.
