A fibre consortium consisting of Green Mountain, Lyse, and other partners announced that they will build a new subsea fiber cable connecting Norway to the UK. The cable landing station will be located in Green Mountain’s data center outside Stavanger on the west-coast of Norway. This 700 km long NO-UK cable will be completed in 2021 and strengthen Norway as an attractive data centre location.
Green Mountain is honoured to be among the finalists on the DCD Awards shortlist in the category Multi Tenant Data Center Design Award 2019. Green Mountains has acquired a large area close to Oslo with line-of-sight capacity of 40 MW. The official construction of the first 4 MW building starts September 1st, estimated completion in September 2020. A substantial international client has already signed a contract for the entire first data centre building.
